No — AMA trains both arts school graduates and people with no prior experience. What matters is passion, motivation and readiness for intensive learning. Some programs require a portfolio or admission interview.
Required documents: online application form, copy of ID or passport, optionally a portfolio or showreel (depending on the program). A detailed list is available on each program's page.
Yes — admission interviews can take place on campus or remotely via Zoom or Google Meet. Dates are arranged individually with the admissions office.
The application form covers one program. If you are interested in more than one, contact the admissions office — we will advise on the best path and explore the possibility of combining programs.
Yes — AMA Film Academy operates as a continuing education institution registered in the official register of educational establishments. We issue diplomas and certificates recognized by employers in the film and television industry.
Tuition varies by campus and study mode:
Yes — tuition can be split into monthly or semester installments. Installment details are arranged individually with the administration department. The first payment (enrollment deposit) confirming your place is required at the time of signing the contract.
Tuition covers full access to classes, the studio, editing suites, school equipment and educational platforms. Students do not need to purchase cameras or software separately during their studies. Consumables (memory cards, storage media) are at students' own expense.
AMA offers discounts for candidates who apply in advance (early bird), as well as group discounts when multiple people from the same group enroll. Details are available at the admissions office — terms are arranged individually.
Part-time mode — classes from Friday to Sunday, totaling 320 hours of classes per year. Ideal for working professionals or those living outside the city. Technical facilities and studio available the same as in full-time mode.
Full-time mode — classes from Tuesday to Friday, totaling 600 hours of classes per year. An intensive program with a strong emphasis on practical projects and film shoots carried out as part of the curriculum.
The 2026/2027 academic year begins in autumn 2026. Exact start dates are announced once enrollment closes for a given program. Information is sent by email to all admitted candidates.
Yes — students work with professional-grade equipment: ARRI Alexa, RED, and Blackmagic cameras, lighting kits (Arri, Dedolight, LED panels), DIT controllers, and Sound Devices audio systems. Equipment is available through an internal lending system.
The editing suites are equipped with DaVinci Resolve (Studio license), Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro workstations. Available to students via a booking system — through the app or directly with campus administration.
The part-time mode is designed precisely for working professionals — weekend classes do not conflict with work schedules. Many AMA students combine their studies with work on film sets, in advertising agencies or post-production studios.
AMA instructors are active industry professionals — cinematographers, directors, editors, producers and VFX specialists working daily in the Polish and international film industry. No academic theorists without real set experience.
AI changes the tools, it does not eliminate creators. Just as the arrival of digital cameras did not replace cinematographers — it only accelerated their work. AMA actively integrates AI into its curriculum (VFX & AI Production, AMA Future Filmmaking LAB) so that students are ready for an industry that is already changing.
