No — AMA trains both art-school graduates and people with no experience at all. What counts is passion, motivation and a readiness for intensive learning. Some courses require a portfolio or an interview.

Required documents: an application form (online), a copy of your ID card or passport, and optionally a portfolio or showreel (depending on the course). A detailed list is available on each course page.

Yes — interviews take place both on-site at the campuses and remotely via Zoom or Google Meet. The date is arranged individually with the admissions office.

The application form covers one course. If you're interested in more than one, contact the admissions office — we'll advise the best path and check whether programmes can be combined.

Tuition varies depending on the campus and mode:

• Warsaw full-time (2 years): PLN 16,000–23,000/year
• Warsaw part-time (2 years): PLN 6,500–19,000/year
• Kraków full-time (1 year): PLN 13,000–19,000
• Kraków part-time (1 year): PLN 13,000–17,800
• Online: PLN 11,000

Yes — tuition can be spread over monthly or semester instalments. The terms are arranged individually with the administration. The first payment (enrolment fee) confirming your place is required when signing the contract.

Tuition includes full access to classes, studios, editing suites, school equipment and educational platforms. Students don't buy cameras or software separately during their studies. Consumables (cards, media) are at your own expense.

AMA offers discounts for candidates who sign up early (early bird), as well as group discounts when several people from one group enrol. Details are available from the admissions office — terms are arranged individually.

Part-time (weekend) mode — classes from Friday to Sunday, a total of 320 class hours per year. Ideal for people working professionally or living outside the city. Technical facilities and studios are available just as in the full-time mode.

Full-time (daytime) mode — classes from Tuesday to Friday, a total of 600 class hours per year. An intensive programme with a strong emphasis on practical projects and shoots carried out as part of the classes.

The 2026/2027 academic year starts in autumn 2026. Exact inauguration dates are announced after admissions close for a given course. The information is sent by email to all admitted candidates.

Yes — students work with professional-grade gear: ARRI Alexa, RED and Blackmagic cameras, lighting kits (Arri, Dedolight, LED panels), DIT controllers and Sound Devices audio systems. Equipment is available through an internal rental system.

The editing suites are equipped with DaVinci Resolve stations (with a Studio license), Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro. They are available to students via a booking system — through the app or directly with campus administration.

The part-time mode is designed specifically for working people — weekend classes don't clash with a work schedule. Many AMA students combine their studies with work on film sets, in advertising agencies or post-production studios.

AMA's lecturers are active industry professionals — cinematographers, directors, editors, producers and VFX specialists working daily in the Polish and international film industry. No academic theorists without on-set experience.

AI changes the tools, it doesn't eliminate creators. Just as the arrival of the digital camera didn't replace cinematographers — it only sped up their work. AMA actively integrates AI into the curriculum (VFX & AI Production, AMA Future Filmmaking LAB) so students are ready for an industry that is already changing.
