Course description
The Film Acting (Camera Acting) program at AMA WARSAW is the only program of its kind in Poland. It is an advanced and professionally taught course in performing in front of the camera, modeled after the Camera Acting program well-known in Western Europe and the U.S. The Acting Program at AMA is taught by renowned film and theater actors with modern techniques, specialists in various aspects of acting, directors, and cinematographers.
The curriculum has been carefully designed to provide participants with comprehensive training for working in front of the camera. Particular emphasis is placed on the practical aspects of film acting, including techniques for working with the camera and film lighting, script analysis, character development, and interpretive skills. The program aims not only to develop technical skills but also to foster an understanding of—and the ability to apply—the subtleties required by visual media.
Film Acting
A course in acting specifically for film, television, and advertising. The program is tailored to current industry standards and provides practical training for working on set and in front of the camera.

Duration
2 years, 4 semesters. One semester consists of 8 sessions held every 2 weeks, each lasting 3 days. Classes are held on Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

First Year of Study
The first year covers the fundamentals of acting technique, improvisation, a director’s approach to working with actors, and the full Camera Acting program. Students learn the basics of character creation, diction, vocal projection, acting, and working as an actor on a film set. The schedule also includes movement classes in dance, movement arts, and rhythm, as well as stunt training.
Second year of study
The second year focuses primarily on a practical approach to acting. Students learn and practice various acting techniques. There are extensive stunt classes and casting exercises for both feature films and commercials. Students focus on developing their film roles, learning to collaborate with others on set, mastering staging, and adapting to various audiovisual formats, ranging from feature films to TV series and commercials. Effective role development and the director’s film staging are the cornerstones of the second-year program. This is also a time for master classes led by well-known and acclaimed actors.
Degree in Film Acting
To complete the program and earn a diploma, students must submit a group-produced graduation film in which they play a distinct role, as well as an acting reel compiled from footage shot during their studies. Students who pass the exam receive an AMA FILM ACADEMY diploma.

To be admitted to the Film Acting program, applicants must participate in an admissions interview and submit a portfolio and a program-specific resume that demonstrate their aptitude.
