The Screenwriting Course at AMA Film Academy is a unique educational program on the Polish market that stands out for its intensive, hands-on approach to teaching screenwriting.

Our program allows participants to explore the secrets of screenwriting under the guidance of experienced film industry professionals. As a leader in innovation in film education, AMA Film Academy offers a course that combines theoretical foundations with intensive hands-on workshops. As a result, course participants not only learn the principles of narrative structure and character development, but also have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice by writing their own screenplays, which are then analyzed and discussed as a group.

A key aspect of our program is our individualized approach to each participant. Small groups allow for in-depth interaction and personalized mentoring by instructors who are active screenwriters. Their ongoing experience in creating films and TV series ensures that the knowledge they impart is always up-to-date and practical. The Screenwriting Course at AMA Film Academy also stands out for its unique modules, such as psychological character analysis, interactive screenwriting, and writing for various media platforms, which prepare our students for work in the rapidly changing world of media and technology.

We also offer networking opportunities within the film industry, which is crucial for aspiring screenwriters. Our networking sessions, workshops featuring special guests, and group projects give participants the chance to forge valuable connections that may lead to future collaborations. The course concludes with a presentation of participants’ own screenplay projects to panels of industry professionals, which not only provides students with valuable feedback on their work but also offers them a real chance to catch the attention of film and television producers.

By choosing the Online Screenwriting Course at AMA Film Academy, you’re opting for a program that focuses on developing practical writing skills, supported by the extensive experience and professionalism of our faculty. With us, you’ll take your first step toward a career in screenwriting, equipped to create compelling, high-quality film and television works. We invite you to join our creative community at AMA Film Academy. During the course, students participate in numerous practical screenwriting exercises as well as workshops on TV series and feature films. They work in groups, including on the development of a TV series package. They learn to develop their own ideas, as well as to carry out commissioned projects and collaborate within a screenwriting team. They participate in table reads of their scripts with professional actors. They collaborate with directing students to bring their own written film scenes to life. During organized pitching sessions, they present their ideas to film and television producers. Upon completion of the program, they will join the AMA FILM ACADEMY screenwriters’ database, and the most talented will have the opportunity to work on professional projects. Students also have the opportunity to participate in screenwriting competitions, particularly Trzy Korony and Script Fiesta.

In the second semester, course participants refine the skills they have acquired, focusing exclusively on practical assignments. At this stage of the course, students are tasked with systematically working on their own film screenplay, which is revised and refined during class sessions and individual consultations with the instructors. They produce a finished screenplay for a short, medium-length, or feature-length film.

Degree in Screenwriting

To complete the program and earn a diploma, students must submit one finished scene from a feature film and one finished episode of a TV series. Course participants who receive a passing grade are awarded an AMA FILM ACADEMY Diploma.
