Course description
The Film Editing, Color Grading, and VFX program at AMA WARSAW is a unique, comprehensive course that covers all key aspects of modern video post-production. The curriculum focuses on topics such as film editing, color grading, and visual effects (VFX), providing participants with the comprehensive knowledge needed to work in the rapidly growing film and media industry.
A program designed for those who wish to explore the intricacies of advanced editing techniques, hone their color grading skills, and uncover the secrets of modern visual effects. It offers a holistic view of post-production, providing a solid foundation for working on film, advertising, and other productions.

Duration
2 years, 4 semesters. Classes are held Tuesday through Friday. The program is offered at AMA Warsaw.
We are increasing the number of class hours per year from 400 to 600, offering our students even more practical opportunities for development and work on film sets.
Start your education in this course
The Editing, Grading, and VFX program includes intensive training in video and audio editing using modern platforms such as Avid, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, training in image correction and color grading using DaVinci Resolve, and training in visual effects using After Effects and Blender.
First Year of Study
The first year covers the study of the fundamentals of film language, image and sound technology, film analysis, film structure, and the basics of all areas of film post-production. Starting in the second semester, the curriculum places particular emphasis on learning the craft. Theory plays a supporting role, facilitating the completion of practical assignments.
Second year of study
During their second year, course participants refine their professional skills in accordance with the curriculum. They acquire skills in editing various film genres, including commercials, documentaries, reportages, feature films, and experimental films. They learn sound editing and the basics of sound design, as well as how to prepare material for sound processing.
Degree in Film Editing, Grading, and VFX
To complete the program and earn a diploma, students must complete a practical diploma project and pass a theoretical exam. Students who pass will receive an AMA FILM ACADEMY Diploma.
AMA students have access to state-of-the-art editing suites, VFX, and color grading facilities.

Entry fee: 1,900 PLN
Tuition: 11,500 PLN per semester / 23,000 PLN per year
Payable per semester in advance by October 1 and February 15 of each year
or in monthly installments due by the 5th of each month:
October–June: 2,480 PLN
July–September: 1,000 PLN

If you have work in the fields of film, photography, visual arts, or literature, you may present it during the interview—this is an added advantage, not a requirement.
Candidates at the appropriate proficiency level may apply directly for admission to the second semester or year of the course.
