Lecturer Profile

Singer, composer, songwriter, actor, and radio journalist. A graduate of the Vocal and Performing Arts Department and the Jazz Department at the Fryderyk Chopin State Music School Complex in Warsaw. He also completed studies in clinical speech therapy. He has also collaborated on stage with many well-known artists on the Polish music scene, including Kayah, Maryla Rodowicz, PECTUS, Czesław Mozil, Natalia Kukulska, Adam Sztaba, and others, performing in concert halls, theaters, and at festivals

He has released numerous albums and recordings. Among them are:
– “Moja wycinanka. Inne piosenki Jerzego Wasowskiego” – a debut album featuring interpretations of songs by Jerzy Wasowski; recorded with, among others, jazz pianist Bogdan Hołownia. —
– “Zubek & Pentz Piazzolla Duo”—a collaboration with guitarist Janek Pentz, in which the artists explore the songs of Astor Piazzolla through contemporary jazz arrangements.
– “Nareszcie na swoim” (EP)—an EP featuring original compositions, a preview of a full-length album.

He has appeared on television music shows such as:

– “Must Be The Music – Just Music”
– “Battle of the Voices”
– “From Preschool to Opole”

He has acting experience. He appeared in the play *The Master and Margarita* at the Ochota Theater. He also starred in the play *Dead Poets Society*—playing the role of the young Wojciech Młynarski. He is no stranger to film either—he appeared in *The Moth Hunt* (both the feature film and the TV series) as well as in the drama series *Osiecka*.

He has won over 300 awards at vocal competitions and festivals. His most notable accolades include:

– “Mateusz 2019” – an award from Radio Trójka for his debut album *Moja wycinanka* in the Jazz Debut of the Year category.
– The Andrzej Zaucha Gold Award at the “Serca bicie” festival at Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz.
– Audience Award at the 41st Actor’s Song Festival in Wrocław
– Award from the Polish Song Museum in Opole at the 41st Actor’s Song Festival in Wrocław.
