One of Poland’s most renowned film producers, president of the Polish Film Academy, director of the Polish Film Awards “Orły,” and member of the European Film Academy (EFA). An expert in audiovisual policy. Director of documentary and feature films. Owner and head of Apple Film Production, founded in 1990. Since 1994, he has served as vice president, and since 1999 as president, of the Association of Independent Film and Television Producers. In November 2000, he became president of the newly established National Chamber of Audiovisual Producers (KIPA), a position he held until 2004. Since 2010, he has been the chairman of the Association of Polish Film Directors and Producers, and since 2015, he has served as vice president of the European Producers’ Club.

A graduate of the Film Directing Department at the PWSFTviT in Łódź and an assistant to Krzysztof Kieślowski. He has produced dozens of feature films, documentaries, TV series, and TV plays. These films were produced in collaboration with Polish television networks—including TVP, Canal+ Polska, and HBO—as well as with international networks such as ARTE, CANAL+, WDR, MDR, SVT, and CTV, as well as in co-productions with independent producers from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany, France, Sweden, Israel, and the United Kingdom. They have won a total of over one hundred awards at international and domestic film festivals. The film *Zabić Sekala* (1998), directed by Vladimír Michálek, received the Polish Film Academy’s Orzeł Award in the Best Producer category. The documentary “Fotoamator” earned Dariusz Jabłoński—director, producer, and co-screenwriter—among other honors, the Prix Europa in the non-fiction documentary category and the Grand Prix at the Amsterdam Documentary Film Festival. His film “Gry Wojenne” (2008), produced by Apple Film Production, was the first Polish documentary in history to open the world’s most important and largest international documentary film festival.
Co-author of three so-called “civil society” draft bills on cinematography, which were considered by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. The current “Cinematography Act” was based on these drafts. Founder of the Independent Film Foundation, established to promote Polish film and its creators both domestically and abroad. Initiator and Artistic Director of SCRIPTEAST—a program for screenwriters from Central and Eastern Europe.
